Common Dental Emergencies For Children
Our office, we cover dental emergencies 24/7. We're usually open five days a week, Monday through Friday, but if it's after hours, if you call the office, it'll give you a number to my cellphone, and I'll answer it. If we need to come in, we can take a look. If it's something that we can wait until the next day, we always try to fit emergencies in because we know it's concerning to the parents, so we want to get them in as quickly as we can.
Because a seemingly small concern could be a sign of a larger issue, here’s a good rule of thumb: if your child is experiencing dental pain, it’s an emergency. Here are some of the most common dental emergencies we treat:
- Severe and or/persistent toothaches
- Chipped, cracked, or broken teeth
- Teeth that have been knocked out
Fast Pain Relief, Gentle Care, Dental Sedation
If you bring your child in for emergency dental care, we will do everything we can to improve their comfort when they arrive. Once your little one is comfortable, our calming, soothing team will get to work restoring their beautiful smile. We will explain all your options so you can make the best choice for your child.
We have TVs mounted in every care room so your kid can take their mind off the situation while we work. And if your child happens to be anxious, we can help relieve their dental anxiety with dental sedation options, including:
- Nitrous oxide, better known as “laughing gas”
- Oral conscious sedation in drink form
- IV sedation
