Your Kids Deserve a Better Dental Experience

You probably know some adults who are afraid of the dentist.

Experts estimate that as many as 3 in every 4 people have some level of dental anxiety. For those with severe anxiety, just making a dental appointment can be extremely difficult.

We also know that many people develop dental anxiety as a result of things that happened during their childhood.

Here at Dentistry For Children, we want to do everything that we can to make dental care a good experience for our patients. We want every kid who comes to either of our locations to feel good about going to the dentist even long after they’ve outgrown us.

You can keep reading today’s post to learn about our approach to dental care, or you can experience it for yourself. To schedule a visit, call our Sandy, UT office at 801-871-3008 or our West Valley, UT office at 801-758-7119.

A Kid-Friendly Place to Be

We cater to patients between from 1 to 18 years old, so our office isn’t like your typical general dentist’s office.

You’ll notice some differences when you meet our team of calming and soothing dental professionals. We don’t just treat you and your children like another set of teeth to look at. We want to get to know you as individuals, so we can provide care that makes your kids as welcome as possible.

If you’ve got multiple children, you’ll be happy to know we have video game systems and a playhouse to keep them occupied.

When your child is called back, we have televisions in every treatment room. This means your daughter or son can watch a movie or television program while having her or his teeth cleaned.

Advanced Technology for Gentle Care

Many parents have told us about their experiences with painful dental treatments during their childhoods. We are doing everything possible help our patients stay pain-free.

One of the ways we are doing that is with our Solea CO 2 Laser.

Laser dentistry may not be as cool as what your kids will see in a movie set in a galaxy far away, but it will help us fix their cavities. The laser numbs the tooth and removes the decayed tissue. Most of the time, we don’t need anything else prepare their tooth for a filling.

Sedation Options

If your child still feels fearful about coming to the dentist, talk to us about our sedation options .

For a vast majority of procedures, all we need is laughing gas or oral sedation to keep your little one relaxed and pain-free.

Laughing gas takes effect quickly. With oral sedation, we provide a single dose of medication in the form of a drink. We’ll make sure to give it time to take effect before we start your child’s cleaning or other care.

Every year, our dentists in Sandy and West Valley, UT learn about new techniques and technologies that can improve the care we provide. This includes ways to make dental visits as pain-free as possible and as relaxing as they can be for our young patients.
