Kid-Friendly Dental Sedation [VIDEO]

Preventative Orthodontics for Kids 3 | Dr. Rooklidge | Sandy, UT Dentist

At Dentistry for Children, we go to great lengths to make our patients feel comfortable, and that includes offering dental sedation that’s kid-friendly and safe for young patients.

The mildest form of sedation we offer is nitrous oxide, or laughing gas. It helps ease any tension your child might have before a procedure. Unlike the laughing gas that’s used on adults, the kind we use is scented. It comes in varieties like grape and strawberry! The mask we use is kid-sized and comfortable, and they enjoy the fruity smell as they watch a movie.

We also offer deeper forms of sedation for children with intense fear of the dentist and other needs. Watch this video to learn more about sedation options at Dentistry for Children.

Then, if your child has dental care needs that could benefit from safe, child-friendly sedation, give us a call!
